Organize Your Library with Video Categories
Keep your video library clean, searchable, and easy to navigate by sorting your content into categories.
Whether it's event recordings, tutorials, interviews, or member spotlights, categories make it easier for everyone to find what they need.
How to Assign a Video to a Category
When adding a new video — [see full guide: How to Add a Video] — you’ll be asked to fill in several details.
When you reach the Category field:
Simply select from the list of existing video categories.
If needed, choose a subcategory as well — this adds another layer of organization.
If the category you need isn’t there yet, you can create a new one first (see below).
How to Create a New Category
Go to the Videos module and click Settings → expand the Categories section
Click Add Category
Enter the name of your new category
(Optional) Add a Subcategory to further structure your content
Click Update Changes to save
Once your new category is added, you’ll be able to assign it to any future video.

Inside the Categories section, you’ll find a quick overview showing:
How many videos are assigned to each category
