Got a new video to share?

This quick guide will walk you through exactly what to do, what to upload, where to add things, and how to make sure everything’s set up right.

Easy, clear, and no guesswork.

1. Upload Your Video

Start with the main thing — upload your video!

  • Format: MP4

  • Max size: 2 GB

  • Make sure it’s good quality and ready to go

2. Add a Clear Title

Use a clear, descriptive title that helps users understand what the video is about.

3. Write a Description

Provide a short overview of the video.

You can include:

  • Main topics covered

  • Who is speaking

  • What viewers can expect to learn or see

  • Key topics or takeaways

A few sentences or a bullet list is great.

4. Add the Date

We recommend using the date it was uploaded. Helps with sorting and context.

But you can add whatever date you need. It's up to you.

5. Choose a Category (or Create a New One)

Choose the main category your video belongs to, and optionally select a subcategory to better organize your content.

In case you don't find the category needed, you can easily create one.

6. Add Tags (if needed)

Tags make videos easier to search and filter. You can assign existing tags or create new ones.

7. Select a Speaker (If applicable)

Who’s in the video? Search for their name or add them if they’re new to the system.

This helps build their profile and makes content easier to track.

8. Link to an Event (if applicable)

If this video came from an event, connect it to that event. It keeps everything tied together and easy to browse.

9. Spotlight It on the Newsfeed (optional)

Want more eyeballs on this video? Check the box to add it to the Newsfeed.

10. Upload a Thumbnail

This is what people will see first, so make it count.

  • Formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG

  • Max size: 10 MB

  • Choose a still from the video, a speaker headshot, or a custom image.

11. Add Any Important Links

Use this section to highlight anything extra: partner sites, resources, tools, whatever makes sense.
Each link includes:

  • A logo

  • A short headline

  • A clickable link

You can add multiple links.

12. Add Cliff Notes (if you’ve got them)

Got a quick summary or key takeaways? Drop them in here.
Perfect for people who want the highlights before diving into the full video.

13. Attach Related Documents

Upload any files that go with the video, like slides, worksheets, or PDFs.

  • Formats: JPG, PNG, PDF, PPT, DOC, XLS

  • Max file size: 10 MB each

  • Give each one a clear label

14. Set Access Rules

Choose who can view the video:

  • Public – Open to anyone

  • All Members – Everyone in the community

  • Restricted – Just a specific group

If restricted, pick your audience by:

  • Group (e.g., Europe Chapter, Women of MDS)

  • Membership Plan

  • Tag

  • Specific Users (add emails or upload a file)

15. Click Publish

That's it! You now have your video uploaded!
