How to Share Regular News on GroupOS
Use Regular News to post detailed updates, announcements, or stories that matter to your community. With rich formatting and flexible visibility, this format is ideal when you need more than just a headline.
Step 1: Upload a Thumbnail
Add a visual that draws attention to your news post.
Recommended size: 1920 x 1080 px
Max file size: 10MB
Supported formats: JPEG, PNG
This thumbnail appears in the feed preview, so make it count.
Step 2: (Optional) Mark as Featured
If you want this news to stand out at the top of the feed, mark it as Featured.

Note: Only one Regular News item can be featured at a time.
Step 3: Add a Title
Create a headline that quickly communicates what the news is about. Keep it short, clear, and relevant.
Step 4: Add the Full Story
Use the editor to share all the details:
Write your content
Insert images, embed videos, or add links
Break it into sections if needed
This is your space to give context and depth to your announcement.
Step 5: Set Publish Dates
Choose when your news appears on the feed:
By default, it publishes immediately
You can schedule a start date/time and an optional end date if needed
This is helpful for planning ahead or setting limited-time visibility.
Step 6: Select the Audience
You can show the post to:
All Members β everyone in your community
Specific Groups β target content to the right people
Ideal for segmenting internal vs. public-facing updates.
Step 7: Publish
Review your content, double-check settings, then click Set Live to post your news.
