How to Share Regular News on GroupOS

Use Regular News to post detailed updates, announcements, or stories that matter to your community. With rich formatting and flexible visibility, this format is ideal when you need more than just a headline.

Step 1: Upload a Thumbnail

Add a visual that draws attention to your news post.

  • Recommended size: 1920 x 1080 px

  • Max file size: 10MB

  • Supported formats: JPEG, PNG

This thumbnail appears in the feed preview, so make it count.

Step 2: (Optional) Mark as Featured

If you want this news to stand out at the top of the feed, mark it as Featured.

Note: Only one Regular News item can be featured at a time.

Step 3: Add a Title

Create a headline that quickly communicates what the news is about. Keep it short, clear, and relevant.

Step 4: Add the Full Story

Use the editor to share all the details:

  • Write your content

  • Insert images, embed videos, or add links

  • Break it into sections if needed

This is your space to give context and depth to your announcement.

Step 5: Set Publish Dates

Choose when your news appears on the feed:

  • By default, it publishes immediately

  • You can schedule a start date/time and an optional end date if needed

This is helpful for planning ahead or setting limited-time visibility.

Step 6: Select the Audience

You can show the post to:

  • All Members – everyone in your community

  • Specific Groups – target content to the right people

Ideal for segmenting internal vs. public-facing updates.

Step 7: Publish

Review your content, double-check settings, then click Set Live to post your news.
