How to Create a Featured Banner on GroupOS
Featured Banners are the first thing your members see when they visit the community.
Use them to promote announcements, events, or big wins. These banners sit right at the top of the Newsfeed and are great for capturing attention instantly.
Here’s how to set one up:
Step 1: Choose Status
Select either Draft or Live status for your banner.
Step 2: Name the Banner
Give your banner a name. This label is only visible to Admins and helps you identify it in your dashboard.
Step 3: Add a Link
Enter a URL for where users will be redirected when they click on the banner. You can use this to drive traffic to events, documents, landing pages, or any resource.
Step 4: Upload Your Banner Images
You’ll need to upload two image sizes for best results across devices:
Mobile app: 1500 x 960 px
Website: 2256 x 760 px
💡 Supported formats: JPEG, PNG
📦 Max file size per image: 10MB
Step 5: Set the Publish Dates
Choose when the banner goes live and when it should expire:
The default start time is the moment you upload it
You can adjust the start and end dates as needed to control its visibility
Step 5: Choose Your Audience
Decide who should see this banner:
All Members – show it to your entire community
Specific Group – limit visibility to a particular member group or segment
Step 6: Set It Live
Once everything is set, hit Publish to make your banner live.
