How to Customize Your Community on GroupOS

First impressions matter. Getting members engaged starts with how they’re welcomed.

GroupOS makes it easy to tailor your onboarding experience so every new member feels right at home. Here are a few simple ways to get started.

Step 1. Go to Community Settings

This is where you control your community’s core setup.

You can name your community, set a custom URL, adjust visibility, choose brand colors, and select default spaces to get started.

Step 2: Upload Your Branding

Bring your brand to life with visuals. In the settings panel, you can upload:

  • Community Banner – a wide image that gives your space a welcoming look

  • Community Logo – displayed in key spots across your community

  • Community Avatar – shown alongside your community name in the app

Note: Each image should be under 3 MB.

Step 3: Set Your Community Name & URL

Make it easy to find and recognize your space:

  • Edit your community name to match your brand or group identity

  • Set a custom URL to create a clean, branded link that directs people to your community

Step 4: Set Your Community Visibility

Decide who can discover and access your community:

  • Public – Anyone with the link can view and request to join

  • Private – Only invited members can find and access the community

You're All Set

Once you've completed these steps, your community will be ready to welcome members with a personalized and professional experience.
